Gan Ning
Letting the Wushuang flow through us...
Lived for 28 years since August 29th to grow to be 6'0" tall.
Under the mandate of Heaven....
With a Sickle and Chain at his side, becoming a great Warrior of the Wu.
Against the powers of destruction...
Harnessing the power of Fire to execute a flawless Wushuang Attack
Guiding us in balance of Yin and Yang....
Gan Ning is a fiery and bold soul, always the heart of battle and the loudest voice of the crowd. He can be arrogant, but his skills give him every right to be. He can be overly confident at times, which in the end leave him with injuries that take weeks to heal, but he never falters. Despite his wild and intimidating personality, people respect him for his quick thinking and his leadership. Gan Ning has a swelling pride and is reluctant to take orders from others, especially when he thinks he can do better. His ability to read people cause him to be overly guarded, thus his struggle to fully express his opinions and concerns nicely. Though a brute he may seem, Gan Ning has many weaknesses that he would rather die than admit. He cares for his private army of sailors greatly and respects his mentor, Lu Meng even more. There is no doubt that if any of them were threatened he would go ballistic and not think twice about giving his life to protect them.
At the very young age of eleven, Gan Ning's parents were killed by a fierce and wild fire, which destroyed his whole village. He was out hunting that day and was therefore safe from the raging flames that took the lives of his loved ones. Having been raised to be independent and strong, he had a headstart in learning to survive on his own in the thick and dark abyss of the forest. He scavanged for food and soon grew brave enough to start hunting bigger game. Gan Ning grew up in the forest alone, with the company of the small animals that he found himself very fond of. By the time he was fifthteen he could wrestle a full grown tiger to the ground; with a knife at hand, of course. As he continued to grow in the wilderness, his senses sharpened and he grew incredibly strong from always moving and never lazing around. Gan Ning, after weeks of thinking and planning, finally made his way to a nearby village. There, he struggled to relearn people skills and grew quite popular with the commonwealth. He became smarter and more aware (yet arrogant as well). Though he could have made it as a merchant or protecter of the people, he chose to travel with a band of pirates. After a couple of years, Gan Ning was a popular man amongst the seamen. He attempted to make a name for himself as "Gan Ning of the Bells" since he wore bells on his clothing to tell his enemies that they were to die a painful death by his chained sickle.
But because of the incoming battle he decided to retire from his life as a pirate, setting his sights upon the challenge of working with others that are on the same level as he. This caused much panic among his crew, causing them to reject the idea of Gan Ning joining the army. With much convincing though, is band of men followed in his footsteps, joining the army as well, once again under the guidance of their fearless leader.
With the harmony of Feng Shui....
(Theme Song)
And the guidance of the Divine....
Despite his impatient self, Gan Ning is actually a very big fan of Xiangqi (Chinese chess). He likes to just sit down with a worthy opponent and play it out. He finds that the quiet and long game relieves stress.
To where we ended our last journey...
Gan Ning was last seen training in the forest just outside of the camp, practicing on some poor unsuspecting trees.
